About me

Hello there! I’m Prashant Pandey, a PhD candidate in Biomedical Engineering at the Surgical Technologies Laboratory, under the supervision of Prof Antony Hodgson and Dr Pierre Guy at the University of British Columbia, Canada. My PhD project explores the use of ultrasound imaging for guiding orthopaedic surgeries (specifically pelvic fractures). As part of this, I’m building and testing an integrated system for computer-assisted surgery, which uses imaging data from a conventional medical ultrasound probe and pose information from an optical tracking camera.

Previously, I completed my undergraduate and Master’s in Engineering Science at the University of Oxford. For my MEng project, I worked with Dr Eleanor Stride at the Oxford Institure of Biomedical Engineering
